Navara Rejuvenation Therapy
Navara rice face pack, full body Navara kizhi and Navara theppu in one course.

Navara is a medicinal rice from Kerala, cooked in milk and herbal decoction to make a soft, nourishing paste. Unlike our other kizhi sessions, which aim mainly at pain and stiffness, Navara therapy is traditionally used for nourishment — for mothers who feel depleted, thin, weak or dry-skinned in the months after delivery.
We bring three Navara treatments together. The Navara face pack is a smooth paste applied to the face and left to rest. Full body Navara kizhi uses cloth bundles of the warm cooked rice, dipped in warm milk decoction and massaged over the whole body. Navara theppu applies the paste itself as a layer over the limbs and back before it is gently scraped off.
A session takes about seventy-five to ninety minutes and is usually planned as a short course. It is postponed during fever, colds or digestive upset, and avoided over unhealed wounds.
Afterwards the mother rests warmly, followed by a warm wash. The session concludes, like all our Ayurvedic Therapy, with a cup of herbal tea.
