Ayurvedic Therapy Full Body Massage

Traditional Kerala-style Ayurvedic Therapy with warm oil for the postpartum body.

Ayurvedic Therapy oils and ghee with medicinal herbs, sesame seeds and leaves

Ayurvedic Therapy full body massage, in the Kerala tradition, uses warm medicated oil and long rhythmic strokes worked along the limbs, back, shoulders and neck to loosen stiffness and settle the nervous system. Oil is chosen for the season and the mother's tolerance, warmed rather than hot, and applied slowly so muscles have time to soften instead of being forced.

It is for postpartum mothers who have been cleared by their doctor for massage — usually from the second week after a normal delivery, and later or with modified handling after a caesarean. Mothers with unhealed wounds, high blood pressure, clotting concerns, fever or an active infection are massaged only with written medical clearance, and the abdomen is left untouched without it.

A session runs about sixty minutes, scheduled while someone else watches the baby. The therapist prepares the room warm and draught-free, drapes for modesty throughout, works from feet upwards, then leaves the oil on for a short rest before an assisted warm bath and a glass of warm water or herbal drink.

Trayi keeps the claims honest. This therapy helps with aches, tension, sleep and circulation. It does not shrink a waistline, correct a medical problem or replace physiotherapy, and we will say so plainly rather than sell a package on it. Every session ends with a cup of warm herbal tea.
