Professional Home Nursing Care

Post-Surgical Recovery Care

Wound dressing, vitals monitoring and structured mobility after surgery.

The days after discharge are when most avoidable setbacks happen. Post-surgical recovery care puts a nurse in the home to carry out sterile dressing changes, watch the wound for infection, record temperature, pulse, blood pressure and oxygen saturation, manage drains or catheters where present, and keep the prescribed pain and antibiotic schedule on time rather than approximate.

Mobility is planned, not improvised. We follow the surgeon's or physiotherapist's instructions on weight bearing and range of movement, assist with sitting, standing and walking distances that increase deliberately, use breathing exercises to protect the chest, and encourage leg movement to reduce clot risk.

It suits patients returning from orthopaedic surgery such as knee or hip replacement, abdominal and general surgery, cardiac procedures, or any discharge where the family has been handed instructions they do not feel confident carrying out.

Trayi starts from the discharge summary rather than a generic template, keeps a written record of vitals and wound appearance for the follow-up consultation, and has clear escalation rules — fever, spreading redness, sudden breathlessness or uncontrolled pain means the doctor is contacted immediately.
